From Faro Airport

The closest airport to MekaYoga's retreat center is Faro Airport, an international airport and low-cost destination from most major European cities. It’s just over an hour to the retreat center by car. You can comfortably get to us by private taxi, rental car, shared transfers or public transport.

Car rentals | Available directly at the airport, with affordable options if booked early. Full insurance is optional and not obligatory, be prepared for this question when you pick up the car. To find us, search 'Meka Yoga' or use GPS 37.085157, -8.922333. Our street does not have a name, and on the map, it seems like the road ends in a field. Don't worry, you will see a big gate on the left. Follow the dirt road and park inside the gate. You’ve arrived!

Private Taxi | from € 95 | Let us know 72 hrs in advance if you want us to book this for you. If you don’t book in advance, you might be charged €130 by airport taxis.
Uber & Bolt | Another alternative is to check on Uber or Bolt (similar app to Uber). Bolt Economy taxis are usually available from €75. You can just enter Mekayoga as a destination.

Book a Shared Transfer | Arriving at Faro before 1:30 PM on a Saturday? Choose this service to reach the Vila do Bispo village center. Relax and explore until we pick you up from the hotel (village center) at 4 PM to take you to our retreat. To reserve, select "Sagres" and "Hotel Mira Sagres" online 48 hours in advance. Let us know if you want the pickup, or if you come by foot (easy 15 minutes walk).

Book a Shared Transfer | Arriving at Faro after 2 PM on Saturday? You'll be dropped off directly at Meka Yoga villa. You can also use this service to drop off your luggage earlier and explore the surroundings. Let us know if you want to do so.

Note on Public Transport from Faro
The train station and bus station are next to each other in Faro and are a 10-minute walk apart in Lagos (easy to find though). Public transport is a good option if you have time to explore the historic town of Lagos, travel on a budget, or are simply feeling adventurous.
